Frequently asked questions
What does Lifeplan do?
Lifeplan is a digital investment advice service for your entire pension that helps you with exactly which funds you should choose in the different parts of your pension where you can choose funds. The advice is personalized for you and your preferences and circumstances. Lifeplan continuously monitors when you need to make reinvestments and continuously sends new advice when there are better alternatives for you.
What distinguishes Lifeplan from other pension advisors?
The most important difference between Lifeplan and other players in pension advice is that Lifeplan is a completely independent advisor. Most advisors make money either through commissions from the funds they recommend or by selling their own funds through their advice. This often leads to the customer being recommended funds with unnecessarily high fees. Lifeplan instead receives payment from the employer or directly from the user and therefore has no incentive to recommend expensive funds. We recommend what is really best for you.
On what do you base your advice?
Based on leading research into how capital is best invested over time, we take a variety of factors into account when giving you advice, such as:
- Your age – the risk in your portfolio will decrease the closer you are to retirement
- Your capital
- Forecast for future pension payments
- How much risk are you willing to take?
- Your labor market sector – for example, if you work in the manufacturing industry, you should have less exposure to this industry in your funds. This is so that an unexpected downturn in your industry does not hit you twice in the form of poorer wage growth and a decline in funds.
- How your “locked” pension money is invested (capital that you cannot invest yourself). If this money is largely invested in, for example, North American funds, we will not recommend as many North American funds in the parts of your portfolio where you can choose funds.
- Which funds are available for selection within your pension insurance policies?
- What discounts do funds have in different insurance policies?
How do I get started with Lifeplan?
You can find Lifeplan by logging into your benefits portal that you have through your employer or by logging in with Mobile BankID at login.lifeplan.se . Step 1 is to sign an information authorization (digitally) that gives Lifeplan the right to retrieve information about your pension insurance in order to make a correct compilation and analysis of your situation. Once the information has been obtained, you can start using your Lifeplan service.
If you do not have access to Lifeplan, please ask your employer to contact us for a no-obligation meeting.
Who can use Lifeplan and how much does it cost?
The most common way is to access Lifeplan through your employer, who has purchased the service as a benefit for their employees. The employer pays for the service and it costs you nothing as a user.
If you want to test whether you work in an organization that offers free access to Lifeplan, you can try logging in here.
Signing up for the service as a private customer costs SEK 149 per month. For those who have previously had the service through their employer or sign up for the service through a relative, the fee is discounted to SEK 99 per month. This also applies to employers who have an agreement with Lifeplan but have not chosen to purchase the full advisory service.
Lifeplan also offers the Lifeplan mini service, which is intended primarily for those who do not have a fund-managed occupational pension. The service provides advice for fund-managed components outside of occupational pensions and is completely free of charge.

How often will I receive new advice?
Lifeplan will notify you by email when we see that improvements can be made. For example, if you have been recommended a portfolio with 10% exposure to Japan and this holding has developed so quickly that your portfolio now consists of 15% Japan, we will give you new advice. Likewise, if a better fund has become available within your pension insurance or if your personal circumstances have changed. New advice usually comes 1-3 times a year. If you do not receive new advice, you can be confident that your pension money is well invested, provided that you have followed the previous advice we have given you.
Can I book a personal meeting with you?
Lifeplan is a web-based investment advisory service that gives you advice on which funds to choose in your pension insurance. If you have any questions about investment advice, you are welcome to contact us anytime between 9-17 on weekdays at 031-109870 or email support@lifeplan.se and we will be more than happy to help you. You will then be put in touch with someone who can answer any questions you may have.
What do I get with Lifeplan?
The service provides you with independent and objective investment advice that helps you achieve an appropriate level of risk, good risk diversification and low fees on your entire pension capital. The advice is also easy to follow and can often be implemented completely digitally using BankID. The advice is tailored to give you the best possible value development on your pension capital given your circumstances and your risk appetite. We also take your sustainability preferences into account when developing the advice.
Will you move my pension capital between different insurance companies?
No, we focus on optimizing the choice of funds within the insurance policies you have. The reason for this is that there are good alternatives within the vast majority of insurance policies. If you have a collectively agreed occupational pension, we sometimes provide advice on choosing an insurance company and type of insurance for future payments if there are alternatives that suit you better than what you already have.
Can I get help with ethical/sustainable/green funds at Lifeplan?
Yes, through Lifeplan’s advice, you as a customer can request that we take sustainability into account when we give you advice.
My employment is ending, can I continue with Lifeplan privately?
It is perfectly possible to continue with Lifeplan even after your current employment has ended! Contact us for more information. You can reach us at support@lifeplan.se or phone 031-109870, weekdays 9-17.
I don't have BankID - how do I log in?
For security reasons, it is a requirement to use BankID to log in to Lifeplan and to sign the information authorization. To be able to use Lifeplan, you must therefore obtain BankID, either on your mobile phone or in a security box. Contact your bank for more information about BankID.
Who owns Lifeplan?
Lifeplan is a sister company of Benify AB and was part of the Benify Group between 2012 and 2025. Since February 2025, the Benify Group has merged with the British industry colleague Benefex to form the joint company Benifex. Benifex is in turn part of the British Zellis Group. Zellis Group is mostly owned by the venture capital company Apax Partners LLP.
