Europe's largest digital pension advisor
We help you maximize the performance of your pension investments
Background
Lifeplan was founded in 2007 by finance experts Karl Erlandzon (Ph.D) and Evert Carlsson (Ph.D), both of whom have conducted extensive research within the field of long-term financial investments. Karl Erlandzon remains within the company as its CEO.
Our business model is based on the concept that it should be easier to make the right choices when it comes to your pension. As providers of completely impartial and algorithm-based pension advice, Lifeplan has succeeded in bringing a refreshingly unique concept to the Swedish pension landscape.
Today more than 900 companies in Sweden offer their employees Lifeplan and we currently have more than 100 billion SEK under advice. In 2012, Lifeplan became a subsidiary of the Benify Group. Benify is Sweden’s leading company within employee compensation and benefits.
Real independence
In the financial services industry, it is common for advisers to be payed through kickbacks and commissions. This can create a conflict of interest as an adviser may be tempted to recommend a product that generates a higher commission, even if it is not in the best interests of the client.
Lifeplan was founded on the principle that pension advice should be honest and transparent.
Our independent status is both a promise to you and in line with the Financial Supervisory Authority’s (Finansinspektionen) high standards for independent advice. This ensures that the advice you receive is impartial and based on your individual circumstances. Lifeplan does not accept commissions or kickbacks from funds or insurance companies, nor does it have its own funds to suggest. We are paid directly by our clients and base our advice on the research that shows how pension capital is best managed over time. We focus exclusively on what is best for our clients.
